Senior Infrastructure Engineer

Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Infrastructure Engineer for our Platform Team to manage, maintain, and enhance our IT infrastructure across on-premises data center, cloud platforms, endpoints, identity, and security systems. The role requires close collaboration with internal teams to ensure reliable, secure, and scalable IT operations while providing technical leadership and ownership.

Key Responsibilities
Infrastructure & Data Center Management

• Design, maintain, and support a small to medium-scale on-premises data center

• Manage servers, storage, virtualization, backups, and disaster recovery

• Administer virtualization platforms such as Proxmox, VMware, and Citrix

• Coordinate hardware lifecycle management, vendor interactions, and infrastructure audits

Microsoft 365, Endpoint & Identity Management

• Administer Microsoft 365 services including Exchange Online, SharePoint, One Drive, and Teams

• Manage Microsoft Entra  (Azure AD), including:
User and role-based access control (RBAC)
Conditional Access and Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)

• Manage endpoint devices using:
Microsoft Intune (Endpoint Manager)
Zoho Endpoint Manager

• Enforce endpoint security, compliance policies, patching, and application deployment across Windows, macOS, and mobile devices

Cloud & Hybrid Infrastructure

• Administer and support cloud environments across:
Microsoft Azure
Amazon Web Services (AWS)
Google Cloud Platform (GCP)

• Manage core cloud components including:
Compute (VMs / instances)
Networking (VPC/VNet, subnets, VPNs, firewalls)
Storage and access controls

• Support hybrid infrastructure and hybrid identity integrations between on-premises and cloud environments

• Assist with cloud cost optimization, security best practices, and operational monitoring

Security & Compliance

• Implement and maintain IT security best practices across infrastructure and endpoints

• Manage Data Loss Prevention (DLP) policies across M365 and endpoint environments

• Configure and manage Sophos Firewall and VPN solutions (remote and site-to-site)

• Support ISO 27001 compliance activities including:
Control implementation
Documentation and audit support
Risk assessment coordination

• Assist with security incident investigation, remediation, and preventive actions

Systems Administration

• Administer and support:
oLinux (Ubuntu / CentOS / RHEL)
oWindows Server and Desktop
omacOS environments

• Perform system patching, monitoring, performance tuning, and access management

End-User Support & IT Operations

• Provide L2/L3 technical support to end users

• Manage IT onboarding and offboarding processes

• Maintain IT asset inventory and access governance

• Ensure smooth day-to-day IT operations and timely issue resolution

Leadership & Collaboration

• Take ownership of assigned infrastructure components and IT services

• Guide junior team members and provide technical mentoring

• Maintain documentation, SOPs, and architecture diagrams

• Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders, vendors, and management

Required

Skills & Qualifications
Mandatory

• 5+ years of experience in IT Infrastructure / Systems Engineering

• Strong experience with Microsoft 365, Intune, Zoho Endpoint Manager, Entra , and RBAC

• Hands-on experience with on-premises data center operations

• Working experience with cloud platforms:
Azure, AWS, and GCP

• Experience with Sophos Firewall and VPN

• Working knowledge of Linux, Windows, and macOS administration

• Exposure to ISO 27001 or similar information security frameworks

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

Preferred

• Experience with backup and disaster recovery solutions

• Scripting knowledge (Power Shell / Bash)

• Familiarity with ITIL processes

• Experience managing hybrid cloud environments
