The City of Kodiak is recruiting a full-time Harbor Officer in the Harbor Department.
Responsibilities- Patrol all areas of the facilities by foot, vehicle, and vessel.
- Conduct vessel counts.
- Conduct routine maintenance activities.
- Set up and patrol restricted areas for federally protected vessels.
- Secure vessels at docks.
- Operate a variety of light equipment and vehicles.
- Enforce harbor policies through verbal warnings and/or tickets.
- Operate harbor vessels to provide emergency response for disabled vessels, fires, and lost persons.
- High school diploma or General Educational Development (GED) degree.
The Harbor Officer must perform duties in a manner that reflects positively on the City and the Department.
