Registered Nurse – Long Term Care
Salary Range: $42.64–$63.95 per hour (commensurate with experience)
Schedule:
Full-Time | Variable Shifts | 40 hours per week
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
- Active Alaska Registered Nurse (RN) license (or ability to obtain prior to start)
- Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association
- Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience preferred (long-term care experience strongly desired)
- Proven ability to provide safe, evidence-based care in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment

Job OverviewThe Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for the delivery and supervision of safe, individualized nursing care using the nursing process in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act—assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. The RN provides direct patient care and coordinates treatment activities in collaboration with physicians, interdisciplinary team members, and support staff.
This role includes oversight of nursing staff and delegation of patient care tasks to ensure quality outcomes. The RN also promotes professional development, ensures regulatory compliance, and upholds standards of clinical excellence and compassion for diverse patient populations across the lifespan.
Key Responsibilities- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care according to established standards and protocols
- Provide direct nursing care, administer medications, and perform treatments safely and accurately
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and communicate comprehensive care plans
- Supervise, delegate, and support nursing staff to maintain safe and efficient operations
- Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with state and federal regulations
- Monitor patient progress and advocate for patient needs and preferences
- Participate in performance improvement and quality initiatives to enhance care delivery
- Maintain confidentiality and uphold ethical standards in all aspects of patient care
