Security Officer - Providence Kodiak Island

Full‑time position at Providence Kodiak Alaska Medical Center in Kodiak, AK. 1.0 FTE, 10‑hour variable shifts, 40 hours per week.

Description

The Security Officer performs all technical duties related to maintaining a safe and secure environment in accordance with Providence philosophy, objectives, policies, procedures and standards. Responsibilities include routine patrols, maintenance safety checks of the building and parking areas, and ensuring walkways and entrances are clear of ice and snow during inclement weather. The role fosters teamwork, maintains a positive professional image, and interacts with patients, their families, physicians, employees and the general public.

Required Qualifications

• Driving may be necessary. Applicants must provide a valid driver's license, auto insurance proof, and comply with all state laws related to driving.

Preferred Qualifications

• At least 2 years of experience in hospital security, related security, or an investigation field.

Pay Range

$22.05 – $33.74 per hour, with additional compensation possible for shift differentials, standby/on‑call, overtime, premiums, incentives, or bonuses.
