Facility: MWR Kodiak Pool

• Serves as a lifeguard for outdoor pool work under the direction of the Morale, Welfare and Recreation (MWR) Aquatics Program Manager or MWR supervisor.
• Employs safety rules for the protection of the pool guests.
• Responsible for life guarding guests in attendance at the assigned aquatics facility.
• Rescues swimmers and administers first aid as required.
• Attend aquatics and/or safety training as directed.
• Assists in maintaining pool and keeping all areas clean and free from hazards.
• Provides information to swimmers regarding safety rules and procedures.
• Tactfully warns patrons who repeatedly disregard safety rules and do not follow facility Standard Operating Procedures; patrons may be asked to leave the facility for non‑conformance.
• Ensures pool rules and regulations are posted in view for all patrons.
• Maintains accurate daily logs and records as required; cash collected will be properly accounted for and paperwork maintained correctly.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

• Must possess and maintain Lifeguard certification (American Red Cross or nationally recognized equivalent), CPR for the Professional, and First Aid.
• Must communicate effectively in English (verbal and written).
• Must be at least 16 years old.
• Must be available from Mid‑May through Labor Day.

• Residency Requirements:
  Non‑U.S. nationals must have resided within the United States or territories for at least three of the last five years.
