Purpose of Job
:
Assist Owners in maintaining accurate, current, and complete accounting records. This includes, but is not limited to, data entry, accounts receivables, accounts payables, general ledger, and period end processing.

Accounts receivables: Assist in preparing invoices, posting cash receipts, completing and submitting state sales tax, and generating monthly customer statements.

Accounts payables: assign GL numbers to payable invoices, enter approved invoices into system and issue checks for payment.

Assist in reconciling all banks monthly.

Maintain “petty cash” fund and reconcile monthly.

General Ledger: Maintain and understand general ledger account numbering system. Balance and report financial statement every month. At year end, assist with balancing and gathering items for Accounting Firm.

Postage: Maintain accurate records of all postage funds with USPS and customer deposits.

Back up Receptionist with telephone and walk in customers.

Special Duties
