Accounting Clerk (Contract-to-Hire)

Kokomo, IN | Fully Onsite

Our client, a growing manufacturing company in Kokomo, is seeking an Accounting Clerk to join their team. This position is open due to continued growth and an internal promotion, creating an excellent opportunity to join a stable organization with long-term potential.

This role is ideal for someone looking to expand their accounting experience while also gaining exposure to business operations in a manufacturing environment. The Accounting Clerk will support Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, customer service, and office operations, making this a well-rounded opportunity for someone interested in building a broader accounting and administrative skill set.

Responsibilities

+ Support Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions, including data entry, invoice processing, payment support, and account maintenance

+ Assist with customer inquiries, incoming calls, scheduling, and front-office support

+ Coordinate incoming and outgoing shipments, deliveries, and job site supply requests

+ Prepare project documentation, drawings, and materials for Project Managers and field teams

+ Support meeting coordination, conference room setup, and virtual meeting technology as needed

+ Maintain office supply inventory and coordinate with facility service providers

+ Provide general administrative and operational support to leadership and the broader team

+ Perform other accounting and office-related duties as assigned

Requirements

Qualifications

+ Previous experience in accounting support, administrative support, customer service, or office operations

+ Interest in growing within accounting and finance

+ Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

+ Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

+ Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel

+ Strong communication and customer service skills

+

Experience with AP, AR, bookkeeping, or accounting software is a plus
