We are seeking a Full Time Dental Assistant/ Front Office Assistant to join our oral surgery office. The ideal candidate will be assisting the first half of the day during oral surgery procedures and performing all back-office duties. The second half of the day the candidate would be providing exceptional customer service while managing administrative tasks efficiently. This role requires strong communication skills and attention to detail.

The ability to collaborate with both the front and back dental staff is crucial to ensure smooth operations within the office.

Duties

Assisting in oral surgery procedures, taking x-rays, sterilization of instruments, and setting up surgical rooms.

Manage patient records and ensure all information is accurate and up to date.

Handling of all medical clearances.

Handle phone calls, schedule appointments, respond to inquiries, and provide information about services offered.

Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, process patient payments, checking on insurance claims.

The ability and flexibility to be a floater and help wherever needed on any given day.

Experience

Previous experience in a dental or medical office is preferred.

X-ray Certification is a plus.

Familiarity with a dental/patient scheduling software system is a plus.

Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients.
