Adjunct Faculty positions are temporary, part-time positions hired each semester on an as‑needed basis.
Responsibilities- Facilitate student learning by delivering assigned classes according to college policy and course objectives.
- Use available technology to enhance instructional methods.
- Develop and maintain course outlines, syllabi, lesson plans, assignments, assessments, and instructional materials; maintain accurate student records and grades.
- Engage with students in meaningful ways that positively impact learning and create a positive experience at Ivy Tech Community College.
- Interact professionally with students and colleagues, complying with college policies, campus guidelines, and expectations.
- Implement emergency and safety procedures for classrooms, labs, and all learning environments.
- Adhere to the scrub or professional dress code.
- Perform other related duties as assigned consistent with commonly accepted practices.
- Earned a baccalaureate or higher degree from a regionally accredited institution.
- Credentialed in the field of surgical technology through a nationally accredited certification program (NCCA).
- Minimum five years of experience in operating room scrub role or as an instructor in surgical technology, or a combination of both, within the past ten years.
- Proficiency in instructional methodology, curriculum design, and program planning.
