Full Time Teacher Aide – Indianapolis Public Schools

• High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)
• Experience working with preschool children preferred
• Ability to pass background checks and drug screenings

• Ability to lift and carry young children
• Stamina to stay engaged with active children throughout the day
• Patience and adaptability to handle varying situations
• Good communication skills for interacting with both children and staff

• Assist lead teachers in implementing age‑appropriate curriculum and activities
• Supervise and engage children during playtime and learning activities
• Maintain a safe and clean environment for children
• Assist with mealtime and ensure children's nutritional needs are met
• Collaborate with the teaching team to create a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere
• Attend staff meetings and training sessions as required
• Follow all safety and health protocols
• Provide support to children's emotional and behavioral needs
• Assist with administrative tasks and record‑keeping as needed
