Manufacturing Test Development Engineer

DUTIES

Borg Warner Noblesville LLC Inc. seeks a Manufacturing Test Development Engineer based out of our office at 2151 E Lincoln Road, Kokomo, Indiana 46902. This is a hybrid position: you will work from the office and from home. The employee must live within a reasonable commuting distance of the office. The role requires domestic and international travel as needed up to 20%.

• Develop and install an automated test solution for manufacturing engine and/or battery management controllers in manufacturing plants.
• Work with a Borg Warner standard PXI system built on Test Stand, Lab View, and Lab Windows CVI.
• Use Test Stand and Switch Executive to build an automated functional test.
• Create test mechanization.
• Write an SOW to purchase fixtures, load box, and testers.
• Collaborate with systems and electrical design engineers to define test requirements, product test software, and test loads.
• Debug test software and hardware systems.
• Implement Six Sigma test limits.
• Conduct peer reviews of the test plan.
• Install test setup in manufacturing plant on time.
• Complete test requirements documentation.
• Work with the team to review and add tests for functional safety.

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, or closely related field.
• At least 36 months of experience in the job offered or related.
• Experience writing functional test software.
• Experience using statistics to set test limits.
• Experience reading electrical schematics.
• Experience debugging functional test equipment.
• Experience using Test Stand to create functional test plan.
