Job Description
Systems Engineer is responsible for developing and executing the strategies to: acquire the complete set of Customer Requirements, deliver the Requirements Analysis, develop a PODS System Design that meets or exceeds Client's business case, and to validate the PODS System meets the Customer's expectations.
Responsibilities- Understands Client's OCS product roadmap for future applications.
- Understands OCS strategies (IOS, Full suppression, etc.) for each supported Customer application
- Applies Client's OCS designs and best practices to satisfy Customer Occupant Detection requirements
- Manages look-across chart of key technical parameters for programs for each supported customer
- Responsible for Client Design Reviews and ASPICE process.
- Serves as Final Approver/Expert for internal systems peer reviews
- Technical Interface with the Customer, and manages key technical communication within the Product Team
- Development of the System Design (mechanization, software, component definition, and interface definition) that satisfies product requirements
- Resolution of issues and concerns with customer in order to maximize the reuse of Client's OCS system architecture.
- Verification activity of the System and ECU design (IT&V, Bench and Vehicle level testing)
- Identifies exceptions to Client's common OCS system architecture and escalates to Chief Engineer and Technical Manager.
- This position requires knowledge in systems engineering and understand customer needs to ensure deliverables meet customer expectations.
- The Passenger Occupant Detection System (PODS) project involves in classifying the occupant sitting on the car seat.
- By using pressure sensor signal processing, it provides occupant classification into empty, child & adult and communicates to vehicle airbag controller via CAN interface.
- The layered complexity of the project requires the engineer with the knowledge of tools and technologies such as Polarion/Doors, GES, JIRA, Vector CANoe, PDAQ/Saint tools, SWIT and different protocols like ISO
26262, Cyber-Security, UDS-ISO
14229 and CAN.
