DUTIES
We seek a Senior Mechanical Engineer based out of our office at 2151
E. Lincoln Road, Kokomo, IN 46902. Note, this is a hybrid position whereby the employee will work both from home and from the aforementioned office address. Hence, the employee must live within a reasonable commuting distance of the aforementioned office address. Note, this position does not require travel.
Support the mechanical design of hybrid / electric inverter and converter systems for various global automotive customers. Design mechanical components in compliance with the Borg Warner Bill of Design. Design product and components to meet customer specifications. Perform mechanical analysis and verification, which includes thermal management, vibration capability, thermal shock, and tolerance stack. Document designs as needed and required. Develop and interface with supply base in support of program needs and purchasing initiatives.
Interface with customers as needed. Provide written and oral presentations as needed. Ensure following a structured problem‑solving approach to resolve issues.
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Automotive Engineering and 60 months of experience in a job offered or related position in mechanical hardware automotive design.
Required experience must include:
- Experience with automotive environmental and durability requirements;
- Experience with NX or similar CAD applications.
