ResponsibilitiesThe Nurse Educator works closely with the Education Specialist, the Clinical Nurse Specialist and the Department's Nursing Manager/Director to assess, plan, coordinate and evaluate the educational needs of nursing staff at the unit/department level to enable staff to provide quality care for the unique patient population on that unit/department.
Qualifications- 4‑year/Bachelor's Degree graduate of a National League for Nursing (NLN), Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), or Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) accredited school; or in lieu of accredited schools listed above, three years of related professional nursing experience. Bachelor’s degree in nursing is required; if entering role without Bachelor's, must be within one (1) year of graduation with a Bachelor of Nursing.
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse by the Indiana Professional Licensing Agency (Required)
- Certification within specialty area within two years from hire.
- Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in nursing and at least one (1) year of experience in the specialty area.
- Exceptional communication and technical skills.
- Exceptional relationship skills.
- Skill in precepting/mentoring.
