Overview
As a Day Duty Gynaecologist MS DGO Consultant in Kolhapur, Maharashtra, you will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive gynaecological care and treatment to patients during the day shift. Your expertise and dedication will contribute significantly to the well-being of women in the local community and surrounding areas.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct routine gynaecological consultations and examinations during the day shift.
Diagnose and treat various gynaecological conditions and disorders.
Perform gynaecological surgeries as necessary, such as hysterectomies, myomectomies, and laparoscopic procedures.
Provide prenatal care, including regular check-ups and monitoring of the mother and fetus.
Participate in the management of high-risk pregnancies and delivery procedures when required.
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as obstetricians, nurses, and anesthesiologists, to ensure integrated patient care.
Offer expert advice and counseling to patients regarding family planning, contraception, and reproductive health.
Maintain accurate medical records and documentation of all procedures, treatments, and patient interactions.
Stay updated on the latest developments in gynaecological medicine and participate in continuous medical education and training.
Adhere to all medical and ethical standards, including patient confidentiality and informed consent.
Supervise and mentor junior medical staff, including resident doctors and medical students.
Participate in hospital committees and quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety.
Contribute to community outreach programs and educational initiatives related to women's health and empowerment.
Oversee and review departmental policies, protocols, and practices to ensure adherence to best practices and standards.
Participate in on-call duties and emergency gynaecological services on a rotational basis.
Required Qualifications
Medical degree (MBBS) with a specialization in Obstetrics and Gynaecology (MS or equivalent)
Valid medical license to practice as a gynaecologist in Maharashtra, India
Diploma in Gynaecology and Obstetrics (DGO) is highly preferred
Minimum of 3-5 years of post-qualification experience in gynaecology and obstetrics
Proven expertise in conducting gynaecological surgeries, including both open and minimally invasive procedures
Strong knowledge of current gynaecological treatment options and best practices
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective patient interactions and counseling
Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary healthcare environment
Commitment to ongoing professional development and continuous medical education
Empathy, compassion, and a patient-centered approach to healthcare
Strong leadership and mentoring abilities to guide and supervise medical team members
Sound decision-making skills, especially in emergency and high-pressure situations
