Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Physics Teacher role based at Sanjay Ghodawat International School in Kolhapur, with an immediate joining requirement. The Physics Teacher will plan, prepare, and deliver engaging physics lessons aligned with IB, Cambridge, and/or CBSE curricula, ensuring clear learning objectives and measurable outcomes. Daily responsibilities include designing lesson plans and assessments, conducting laboratory sessions and demonstrations, integrating mathematics where relevant, and using technology and practical examples to deepen conceptual understanding.
The teacher will monitor and evaluate student performance, provide timely feedback, maintain accurate records, and support students in board and competitive exam preparation. Additional responsibilities include participating in faculty meetings, contributing to co-curricular and enrichment activities, engaging with parents or guardians as needed, and upholding the school's values, policies, and safety standards.
Qualifications
Strong subject expertise in Physics and Physics Education, with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly and accurately.
Proficiency in Lesson Planning and curriculum design, including creating assessments, lab activities, and differentiated learning materials.
Comfort integrating Mathematics into physics instruction to support problem-solving and numerical reasoning.
Demonstrated Teaching skills, including classroom management, student engagement, and use of varied instructional strategies.
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Physics, Science Education, or a closely related field; formal teacher training or certification is preferred.
Experience teaching at middle or senior school level, ideally in IB, Cambridge, or CBSE frameworks.
Effective communication skills, collaborative mindset, and willingness to participate in school events and mentoring activities.
