Role Overview We are looking for a Chartered Accountant to join our Siliguri team. This is a client-facing accounts and tax role that combines technical delivery with advisory responsibility, you will manage client engagements end to end, support junior team members, and contribute to the quality and growth of our service offering.

We are open to strong candidates from any accounting and tax background. You do not need prior international or cross-border experience, if you have the technical ability, the right attitude, and the communication skills, we will invest in your development and give you the exposure to grow into a broader advisory role.

Key Responsibilities
• Independently manage multiple client assignments, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of accounts, tax returns, and other financial deliverables.

• Begin building client relationships by handling day-to-day communication, following up on outstanding information, and ensuring clients are kept informed at every stage.

• Assist in and progressively lead tax advisory and consultancy engagements, delivering tailored, client-specific solutions under guidance from senior staff.

• Assign and supervise work performed by junior team members, maintaining high standards of quality, accuracy, and consistency.

• Identify potential opportunities to broaden or deepen the service provided to existing clients, and contribute to the firm's growth initiatives.

• Participate actively in team meetings, contributing ideas to improve processes, client service, and internal standards.

• Apply professional judgement and ethical standards, escalating technical or risk matters to senior staff promptly and with the issue clearly framed.

What We Are Looking For
• Qualified Chartered Accountant, CA (ICAI), ACCA, ACA, or an equivalent professional qualification.

• Up to 2 years of post-qualification or post-articleship experience in a practice or comparable delivery environment.

• Strong logical thinking, analytical reasoning, and attention to detail, figures are checked before they leave the desk.

• Excellent written and spoken English, confident in direct client communication, able to explain technical positions in plain language without needing a template.

• Organised across multiple live matters simultaneously, with the discipline to follow each through to conclusion without being chased.

Good to Have
• Familiarity with accounting software, Xero, Quick Books, Sage, VT Software, Tax Calc, or similar.

• Exposure to international, cross-border, or multi-jurisdiction accounting and tax work.

• Experience preparing proposals, engagement letters, or fee quotes.

• Experience supervising or coordinating with a junior or offshore delivery team.
