Key Responsibilities
Handle day-to-day accounting activities, including journal entries, ledger scrutiny, provisions, accruals, and expense accounting.
Ensure accurate and timely recording of financial transactions in the ERP/SAP system.
Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities.
Perform bank, ledger, vendor, customer, and inter-company reconciliations.
Identify and resolve discrepancies and outstanding items on a timely basis.
Monitor and maintain proper documentation for accounting transactions.
Review vendor invoices, supporting documents, and accounting entries.
Assist in monitoring receivables, payables, advances, and ageing reports.
Coordinate with internal departments and business units for timely settlement and reconciliation.
Assist in GST, TDS, PF, and other applicable statutory compliance activities.
Support preparation and reconciliation of data required for statutory returns and assessments.
Ensure proper maintenance of records and supporting documents.
Prepare periodic MIS reports, schedules, and financial data for management review.
Assist in preparation of monthly/quarterly financial statements and related schedules.
Analyse variances and provide relevant accounting data to management.
Coordinate with internal, statutory, and tax auditors and provide required schedules and supporting documents.
Assist in audit queries, ledger verification, and preparation of audit workings.
Support tax and accounting-related assignments as required.
Ensure adherence to accounting policies, internal controls, and approval processes.
Identify discrepancies or process gaps and support implementation of corrective measures.
Maintain proper records and documentation for all accounting activities.

Key Skills & Competencies
Strong knowledge of Accounting, GST, TDS and financial reporting
Good understanding of Indian Accounting Standards / Ind AS
Proficiency in MS Excel and ERP/SAP
Strong analytical and reconciliation skills
Good attention to detail and numerical aptitude
Ability to work with large volumes of financial data
Good communication and coordination skills
Qualification & Experience
CA Inter qualified
Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Finance, or a related discipline preferred.
1–3 years of relevant experience in core accounting/finance functions preferred.
Candidates with experience in manufacturing/steel industry will be an added advantage.
