fashion designer conceptualizes, designs, and creates clothing, footwear, and accessories by researching trends, sketching concepts (by hand or using CAD software), selecting fabrics, and overseeing the production process. They work closely with technical teams to develop prototypes and ensure final products align with brand identity and market demands.

Key Responsibilities Research & Concept Development:
Analyze fashion trends, consumer preferences, and market needs to develop new concepts and themes for collections.

Design & Sketching:
Create technical sketches, illustrations, and detailed specifications (tech packs) for garments or accessories.

Material Selection:
Source and select fabrics, trims, colors, and patterns suitable for the designs.

Production Oversight:
Collaborate with pattern makers and manufacturers to create prototypes, adjust fits, and manage the final production process.

Presentation & Marketing:
Present designs to creative directors, buyers, or in fashion shows. Required

Skills and Qualifications Technical

Skills:

Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software (e.g., Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop) and garment construction knowledge.

Creativity & Artistic Ability:
Strong sketching, illustration, and color-matching skills.
