Assistant Fashion Designer

Role Summary
JYOWEAR is seeking a driven and detail-oriented Assistant Designer to support the design team across all stages of the creative process. This role is ideal for someone with strong technical skills, a keen eye for trends, and a passion for translating ideas into refined, wearable design. You'll work closely with the founder on everything from concept development to sampling, while gaining exposure to the fast-paced world of modern, design-led fashion.

Responsibilities
Support the design team in developing seasonal concepts, mood boards, and color stories
Create and update technical flats, tech packs, and line sheets
Conduct research on trends, fabrics, trims, and silhouettes aligned with brand direction
Assist in fabric sourcing, swatch management, and vendor communication
Participate in fittings, document feedback, and track sample updates
Support coordination and styling for lookbooks, campaigns, and photoshoots
Maintain and organize the design archive, swatches, and visual references
Collaborate with production and sampling partners to ensure quality and timelines

Qualifications
0–2 years of experience in fashion or apparel design
Degree or diploma in Fashion Design or a related field
Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop; basic CAD knowledge is a plus
Strong illustration and technical sketching ability
Good understanding of fabrics, construction, and garment finishes
Highly organized, self-motivated, and proactive
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Interest in contemporary fashion and design-forward thinking
