Data Scientist
Location;

About the Role
We are seeking a highly analytical and business-driven Data Scientist – Supply Chain Analytics to transform supply chain data into strategic insights and scalable solutions. This role will focus on demand forecasting, inventory optimization, logistics modeling, and end-to-end supply chain performance improvement. You will partner closely with Supply Chain, Operations, Procurement, and Finance teams to build advanced models that improve service levels, reduce costs, and increase operational resilience.
Key Responsibilities
Advanced Analytics & Modeling
- Develop and deploy demand forecasting models (statistical and machine learning)
- Build inventory optimization and safety stock models
- Design network optimization and transportation models
- Develop supply planning and capacity planning simulations
- Apply time-series, regression, clustering, and optimization techniques
Supply Chain Optimization
- Improve OTIF (On-Time-In-Full), fill rate, and inventory turns
- Identify bottlenecks and cost drivers across the supply chain
- Model scenario planning for supply risk and disruption mitigation
- Support S&OP / IBP processes with predictive insights
Data Engineering & Management
- Clean, structure, and integrate large-scale ERP and logistics datasets
- Work with structured and unstructured data (orders, shipments, supplier data)
- Collaborate with data engineers on data pipelines and model deployment
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Translate business problems into analytical solutions
- Present findings to non-technical stakeholders
- Partner with IT and Operations to operationalize models
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, Supply Chain, or related field
- 7+ years of experience in data science, preferably within supply chain or operations
- Strong programming skills in Python (pandas, scikit-learn, stats models)
- Experience with SQL and relational databases
- Solid understanding of time-series forecasting and optimization techniques
- Experience with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, or similar)
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.)
- Knowledge of supply chain planning systems (e.g., Kinaxis, Blue Yonder)
- Experience deploying models in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Familiarity with MLOps and production model monitoring
- Experience with linear programming / mixed-integer optimization
