As we continue to expand our operations, we are looking for a dynamic and hands-on Network & IT Infrastructure Engineer with broad technical expertise across networking and enterprise IT systems.
Role Overview
The Network & IT Infrastructure Engineer will be responsible for designing, deploying, maintaining, and troubleshooting enterprise network and IT infrastructure solutions for our clients. The ideal candidate should possess strong knowledge of networking technologies, server administration, CCTV and surveillance systems, structured cabling, and general IT support. This role requires a proactive individual capable of independently handling project implementation as well as providing post-deployment technical support.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, configure, deploy, and support enterprise network infrastructure.
- Install and maintain Cisco, HPE Aruba, Juniper, Ubiquiti, Mikro Tik, and similar networking solutions.
- Configure and troubleshoot Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking, including VLANs, STP, Ether Channel, static and dynamic routing.
- Manage routing protocols such as OSPF, BGP, RIP, and network segmentation.
- Deploy and maintain firewalls, VPNs, network security appliances, and access control systems.
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot Windows Server, Linux Server, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and virtualization platforms (VMware/Hyper-V).
- Support and maintain IP CCTV surveillance systems, Network Video Recorders (NVRs), Video Management Systems (VMS), and access control solutions.
- Plan and execute structured cabling, fiber optic backbone installations, rack integration, and data centre infrastructure projects.
- Perform network health checks, preventive maintenance, and rapid fault isolation.
- Support implementation of wireless LAN solutions, including enterprise Wi-Fi deployments.
- Collaborate with project managers, OEMs, vendors, and customer IT teams during project execution.
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation, network diagrams, project reports, and as-built drawings.
- Participate in IT infrastructure audits, site surveys, and project planning activities.
- Provide on-site and remote technical support during and after project implementation.
- Stay updated with the latest networking, cybersecurity, and enterprise IT technologies.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics & Communication Engineering, or a related field.
- 2-3 years of hands-on experience in network engineering, IT infrastructure, or system integration.
- Strong practical experience with Cisco, HPE Aruba, Juniper, Ubiquiti, Mikro Tik, or equivalent networking platforms.
- Good understanding of TCP/IP, LAN/WAN, VLANs, routing and switching concepts, subnetting, NAT, and VPN technologies.
- Experience in deploying and supporting enterprise Wi-Fi and IP-based surveillance systems.
- Working knowledge of Windows Server, Linux, virtualization technologies, and server hardware.
- Familiarity with structured cabling standards, OFC (Optical Fiber Cable) deployment, patch panels, and rack management.
- Experience in troubleshooting hardware, network, and system-level issues in mission-critical environments.
- Ability to read technical drawings, prepare documentation, and interact professionally with clients.
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Willingness to travel for project execution and maintenance activities.
Preferred / Desirable Skills
- Experience working in government, PSU, educational institution, manufacturing, or enterprise IT projects.
- Exposure to data centre infrastructure and server room setup.
- Basic understanding of cybersecurity solutions, including firewalls, endpoint protection, and network monitoring tools.
- Knowledge of network automation or scripting (Python, Power Shell, or Ansible).
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud) and hybrid networking concepts.
- Experience with IP Telephony, Unified Communications, or Audio-Visual (AV) systems.
- Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, HCIA/HCIP, MTCNA, NSE, RHCSA, VMware VCP, or equivalent will be an added advantage.
