Position: Manager/ Sr. Manager Supply Chain
MISSION OF

THE ROLE

Build Duratuf's Supply Chain function from a 6-person reactive operation into a measurable, OTIF-disciplined, working-capital-efficient engine that supports growth from 750 to 2,500 active workplaces by FY30 — without growing the Cash Conversion Cycle beyond 30 days and without adding manufacturing capex.
Duratuf is a global sourcing and global selling business: 40% of revenue is international (61 countries), and the inbound supply base spans India, China, Europe, and other geographies. This role owns the complete two-way international trade flow — import operations (China and global supplier sourcing, customs clearance, duty optimisation, LC/TT remittance, DGFT and BIS compliance) and export operations (FOB/CIF documentation, BRC, port logistics, GCC and international customer commitments).

This is a strategic hire, not an operational backfill. The Sr. Manager will define the OTIF measurement framework, redesign supplier governance via Supplier Manual v2.0, anchor PE diligence readiness on the working capital narrative, lead the China + Europe sourcing pipeline for Indi Volt and Ameri Volt/Globa Volt SKUs, and develop the L4–L5 successor pipeline that makes their own L7 promotion possible.

COMPETENCIES

Technical & Functional

• Industrial B2B sourcing depth (10–15 years): electrical safety, PPE, industrial consumables, rubber/polymer/electrical materials preferred

• International trade fluency — import AND export:
Bill of Entry, customs clearance, HS code optimisation, BCD/IGST/AD duty, LC/TT, DGFT/BIS compliance (inbound); FOB/CIF, BRC, port logistics, GCC commitments (outbound)

• China sourcing experience (strong preference):
Yiwu / Guangzhou / Ningbo / Shanghai supplier ecosystems; personal supplier visits a strong plus

• OTIF and working capital instrumentation: ability to publish current-state numbers in Month 1 and define binding improvement targets

• Zoho fluency or strong single-platform discipline: non-negotiable; must partner with Technology/Zoho Platform Ops, not work around it

• PE / investor-readiness exposure (preferred): direct experience supporting diligence on supply chain function

People & Leadership

• Has built a 6→15+ person team from scratch; promoted at least 2 people in last role

• Comfortable reporting directly to a founder with no layer above for 18+ months; operates as CEO partner, not subordinate

• Bias to systematisation: every problem becomes a template, scorecard, automation, or SOP

Behavioural

• Equanimity under operational stress: monsoon, port strikes, Chinese New Year, Ramadan slowdowns, festival logistics

• Decisive under ambiguity: owns outcomes, not excuses

• Cross-functional maturity: can navigate Sourcing vs. Category Management tension without escalating

Requirements

CANDIDATE PROFILE

Education

Engineering or Supply Chain/Logistics degree preferred; MBA a plus, not mandatory
Experience

10–15 years in industrial B2B supply chain; at least 5 years in a senior individual-contributor or manager role
Preferred Industry

Industrial safety, PPE, electrical products, rubber/polymer, industrial consumables;

Must-Have

• Both import AND export operations experience — not one or the other

• China sourcing experience with at least one direct supplier visit

• Ability to cite specific OTIF %, CCC days, inventory turns from past roles

• Has led a team of 5+ people and can name 2 direct reports they promoted

• Willing to work full-time in-office at Kolkata HQ

Good-to-Have

• PE or investor diligence experience on supply chain function

• Exposure to sourcing from Europe (Germany, Netherlands, Italy — electrical/PPE category)

• Prior experience at a company below ₹200 Cr revenue (scaling context)

• Working knowledge of Zoho Inventory, Zoho Books, or equivalent ERP

• Mandarin language skills or prior experience working with Chinese-language supplier teams
