About us
Antony Gomez Associates is a business advisory, compliance, accounting and management consultancy firm based in Kollam, completing ten years this November. We work with businesses across Kerala and with clients in Kuwait, and we are establishing a Dubai presence.
We are looking for someone to take charge of our accounting and tax compliance practice.
The role
This is a lead role, not a senior executor role. You will own the accounting and compliance function end to end — the quality of what leaves the firm, the deadlines it leaves by, and the development of the team that produces it.
You will finalise accounts independently, review the work of junior staff before it reaches a client or a portal, allocate work across the team, and be accountable for the filing calendar across a portfolio of individual, MSME, partnership, LLP and private limited clients.
You will report to the Founder & CEO. Company law and ROC work is handled by our Company Secretary associate.
What you'll do
Finalise accounts independently across proprietor ships, partnerships, LLPs and private limited companies
Review and sign off GST returns, TDS returns and income tax computations prepared by the team before filing
Own the compliance calendar and ensure filing deadlines are met without prompting
Handle income tax matters including computations, returns, and responses to notices
Support tax audit under section 44AB
Allocate work across the accounting team, set turnaround expectations, and hold them
Guide and develop junior accountants; be the person the team escalates to
Prepare and review MIS and management reports for clients
Identify and resolve technical issues before they become client problems
What we're looking for
Essential
CA Inter or CMA Inter with completed articleship, or CMA/CA qualified
5+ years in a professional practice  — a CA firm, audit firm or accounting consultancy. In-house industry experience alone is not a fit for this role.
Demonstrated ability to finalise accounts independently, without a reviewer above you
Working knowledge of GST, TDS and Income Tax, and current with recent changes
Experience reviewing and correcting the work of junior staff
Proficiency in Tally and Excel; working knowledge of Zoho Books an advantage
Malayalam and English
Preferred
Experience managing a portfolio of clients across multiple entity types
Exposure to income tax assessments, notices and departmental correspondence
Project report and CMA data preparation

Experience with Gulf or NRI client matters

Salary: ₹40,000 – ₹55,000 per month, based on qualification and demonstrated capability
