Accounts & Audit Executive

Location: Kottayam North

Jacob & Associates, Chartered Accountants, is looking for an  experienced Accounts & Audit Executive  with practical exposure to  Accounting, Audit, Direct Taxation and Indirect Taxation .
We are looking for a responsible professional who can  understand instructions, take ownership of assigned work and execute assignments accurately within the required timelines .
The role provides exposure to a wide range of accounting, audit, taxation and compliance assignments. Depending on the nature of the assignment, the candidate should also be willing to  visit and work from client premises when required .

Key Responsibilities:

Handle accounting and bookkeeping assignments for clients.
Maintain, review and assist in the  finalisation of books of accounts .
Execute assigned portions of  Statutory Audits, Tax Audits and Internal Audits .
Verify books of accounts, ledgers, vouchers, bank records and supporting documents.
Prepare  audit working papers, schedules, reconciliations and supporting documentation .
Handle assignments involving the practical application of applicable  Direct and Indirect Tax provisions .
Understand the tax and compliance implications arising from accounting transactions and identify matters requiring senior attention.
Visit and work from  client premises whenever required  for accounting, audit, verification or other professional assignments.

Requirements:
Strong practical knowledge of  Accounting and Bookkeeping .
Good practical exposure to  Statutory Audit, Tax Audit and Internal Audit procedures .
Good working knowledge of applicable  Direct and Indirect Tax laws and provisions .
Ability to understand and apply relevant tax provisions in  accounting, audit and compliance assignments .
Good hands-on proficiency in  Tally Prime .
Good working knowledge of  MS Excel and other accounting/software tools .
Ability to understand instructions clearly and  execute assignments accordingly .
Ability to  take ownership and responsibility for assigned work .
Ability to work independently after receiving appropriate instructions and guidance.
Ability to identify issues and  seek guidance from seniors at the appropriate stage .

Good analytical ability and attention to  accuracy, documentation and compliance .
Good communication and client coordination skills.
Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines.
Willingness to  travel to and work from client premises as assignments demand .
Strong sense of  responsibility, punctuality, confidentiality and professional integrity .
Qualification   

B.Com / M.Com / Semi-qualified CA / equivalent qualification  in Commerce, Accounting or Finance.
Candidates with relevant practical experience and strong accounting and audit knowledge will also be considered.
Previous experience in a  Chartered Accountancy firm, audit firm or similar professional environment is preferred .

Salary Range:  ₹30,000 – ₹40,000  per month (based on experience & capability) plus incentives
