1:1 SEN Support Assistant role within a highly inclusive primary school

1:1 SEN Support Assistant will provide dedicated support to a pupil with Autism and ADHD
Implement personalised strategies to support engagement, communication and emotional regulation
1:1 SEN Support Assistant will work closely with teaching staff, parents and external agencies
Support the pupil both within lessons and during unstructured times throughout the school day
Help create a positive, structured and nurturing learning environment
Monitor progress and contribute towards SEND support plans
1:1 SEN Support Assistant applicants should have previous experience supporting children with SEND
Knowledge of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and ADHD is highly desirable
Strong communication, patience and adaptability are essential
1:1 SEN Support Assistant candidates should be proactive, resilient and passionate about supporting young people
A background in Psychology, Education or a related field would be advantageous
