Our client is a world‑leading technology company in the development and production of highly mobile special‑purpose vehicles in the 5 to 40‑ton range. To strengthen their team at their location in the Thurgau/Lake Constance region, we are looking for an ambitious individual for strategic purchasing.

Role Type : Permanent

• Strategy development:
  Creating and implementing commodity group and supplier strategies.
• Market analysis:
  Worldwide analysis of procurement markets as well as identification and qualification of new suppliers.
• Risk management:
  
  Actively managing supplier risk.
• Auditing:
  Conducting supplier evaluations and participating in audits in cooperation with the Quality Management (SQM) department.
• Contract management:
  Ensuring a sound general contractual basis and conducting negotiations.
• Interface function:
  Technical contact person for new developments and support for innovation projects.
• Cost efficiency:
  Identification, implementation and documentation of potential savings.

• Education:
  
  Technical and/or business administration training with specific further training in the field of purchasing.
• Experience:
  
  Several years of experience in strategic purchasing, ideally with a focus on sheet metal processing and the procurement of complex assemblies.
• Skills:
  
  Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills as well as technical understanding.
• Soft skills:
  
  Confident negotiation skills, strong communication skills and presentation skills in an international environment.
• Languages:
  
  Fluent German and English skills (both spoken and written).
• IT:
  Proficient use of SAP ERP and MS Office applications.
• Mobility:
  Willingness to travel internationally on business.
