Parking Equipment Technician

Position: Parking Equipment Technician Role
Become a Parking Equipment Technician and support Parking Services with maintenance, troubleshooting and customer service. This role involves handling parking meters, pay stations, and janitorial duties across facilities.

The position requires a 2-year diploma in Electronics or similar field and at least six months of experience with electro-mechanical controls. You will maintain records, databases, and assist with signage installation while ensuring facilities remain clean and operational. Strong problem-solving skills are essential for addressing equipment issues and providing excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, test, and maintain parking equipment and systems

• Troubleshoot equipment issues and follow up on complaints

• Maintain databases for inventory and performance statistics

• Perform janitorial functions for parking facilities

• Assist vendors with programming new equipment

Requirements:

• 2-year diploma in Electronics or related field

• Six months experience with troubleshooting and servicing equipment

• Valid Class ‘G’ Ontario driver’s license

• Strong computer skills, especially in MS Office

• Excellent public relations and customer service skills
