Job PurposeThe Accounting Specialist is responsible for providing proper bookkeeping and reconciling the books of account to support the effective provision of high-quality accounting services across the business.
Responsibilities- Identify, investigate, and rectify routine errors and anomalies in input data to ensure the accuracy of financial information.
- Analyze ledgers and accounts to facilitate timely reconciliation of financial data, ensuring the company maintains continuous awareness of its financial position.
- Prepare non-routine financial data upon request to support management decision-making.
- Prepare reports from statistical and financial information according to established schedules, ensuring all required information is available for timely review.
- Ensure compliance with accounting procedures and adherence to established systems.
- Process ledger and booking entries in accordance with established procedures, ensuring all transactions are recorded timely and accurately.
- Report major issues and areas of non-compliance to the hierarchy to ensure high levels of accounting management and control, facilitating timely resolution of problems.
- Fluency in English.
- Fluency in local language is a plus.
- Proficiency in MS Office.
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration with emphasis on Finance, or Accounting, or a related field.
ExperienceTwo to four years of experience in a similar role.
