Library Assistant

We are seeking a Library Assistant to join our team in Al-Kuwait, Kuwait. As a Library Assistant, you will be responsible for assisting the Librarian in managing and organizing the library's collection, as well as providing support to library patrons. This is a contract position open to all nationalities, with accommodation provided.

• Assist in the acquisition and cataloging of new library materials
• Maintain and organize the library's collection according to established systems
• Help patrons locate materials and provide assistance with research inquiries
• Ensure proper shelving and organization of books, magazines, and other materials
• Process check-outs, returns, and renewals of library materials
• Assist with planning and executing library programs and events
• Perform routine maintenance tasks such as book repairs and inventory checks
• Keep track of overdue materials and follow up with patrons as needed
• Provide friendly customer service to all library visitors

• Indian nationality preferred (but not required)
• No English language proficiency required
• Previous experience in a library setting is not necessary but is considered an asset
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
• Strong organizational skills
• Attention to detail
• Basic computer skills
• Must be willing to work on a contract basis
