Librarian Assistant

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team as a Librarian Assistant in Al-Kuwait, Kuwait. As a librarian assistant, you will be responsible for assisting the librarian with the organization and management of library materials, as well as providing support to library patrons. This position is open to Indian nationals and does not require fluency in English.

• Assist the librarian with cataloguing and organizing library materials according to established systems
• Help patrons locate materials and provide assistance with research inquiries
• Process new library materials, including labeling, shelving, and data entry
• Maintain the cleanliness and order of library shelves and work spaces
• Assist with circulation tasks such as checking out materials, collecting fines, and issuing library cards
• Provide basic technology support to patrons using library computers and equipment
• Collaborate with other library staff to plan and implement programs or events for library users

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in Library Science is preferred
• Minimum of 1 year experience working in a library or similar environment
• Familiarity with cataloguing systems and basic knowledge of library organization principles
• Strong customer service skills and ability to interact effectively with diverse groups of people
• Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and push or pull fully loaded book carts
• Flexible schedule, including some evenings and weekends

Salary: 1500$ per month
