Librarian Assistant

We are currently seeking a highly motivated individual to join our team as a Librarian Assistant in our library located in Al-Kuwait, Kuwait. As an assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the daily operations of the library and ensuring a positive experience for all patrons.

• Assist the librarian with various tasks such as cataloging, shelving, and organizing materials
• Help to maintain the cleanliness and organization of the library space
• Provide excellent customer service to patrons by answering questions and helping them locate materials
• Process new library cards and assist with renewals or replacements
• Assist with planning and implementing library programs and events
• Maintain accurate records of library transactions and circulation statistics
• Handle basic computer tasks such as checking in/out materials and using library software
• Collaborate with colleagues to ensure efficient operation of the library

• Nationality preference for Indian or Pakistani candidates
• Fluency in English is required for effective communication with patrons
• Previous experience is not necessary; we are willing to train the right candidate
• Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends if needed

• High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree preferred
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills
