Librarian Assistant

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Librarian Assistant to join our team in Al-Kuwait. As a Librarian Assistant, you will be responsible for assisting the librarian in the management and organization of library resources, as well as providing support to library users. • Assist the librarian in selecting, acquiring, organizing, and maintaining library materials
• Catalog and classify new materials according to established standards
• Maintain accurate records of library resources and transactions
• Assist with the circulation of materials by checking items in and out, collecting fines, and issuing library cards
• Answer basic reference questions and provide guidance to library users on how to locate materials
• Assist with planning and promoting library programs and events
• Create displays to showcase new or relevant materials
• Help maintain the cleanliness and order of the library space

• Bachelor's degree in Library Science or a related field preferred
• Previous experience working in a library setting is an asset
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Proficient in using technology and computer systems for cataloging and record keeping
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with other team members

900$ per month (negotiable based on experience)
