Librarian - Part Time (Indians Preferred)

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Librarian to join our team on a part-time basis. As a Librarian, you will be responsible for managing and organizing the library's collection, assisting patrons with research and reference inquiries, and promoting library services and resources. This position requires no previous experience and is open to Indian nationals residing in Al-Kuwait.

• Organize and maintain the library's collection of books, periodicals, and other materials
• Assist patrons with locating materials and conducting research
• Provide reference services and answer inquiries via phone, email, or in-person
• Promote library programs, events, and resources to increase patron engagement
• Process new materials for circulation by labeling, cataloging, and shelving them appropriately
• Monitor inventory levels to ensure sufficient materials are available for patrons
• Maintain accurate records of library transactions including check-outs, returns, and fines
• Collaborate with other librarians to develop collection strategies that meet the needs of the community

• ​Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field (preferred)
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills in English (Arabic is a plus)
• Customer service oriented with the ability to assist diverse groups of people
• Comfortable using technology such as library databases and software management systems
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
