Position: Videographer & Video Editor AI Factory Free Trade Zone
CODED — The First Tech & AI Academy in the Arab World About CODED

CODED is the first tech and AI academy in the Arab world, and the region's go-to place for technology and AI education. We build real technical capability — software engineering, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, data science, and emerging technologies — across individuals, youth, and enterprises.

What we are building is talent density
. Not headcount. Not volume. A concentrated pool of genuinely exceptional people, inside CODED and across the market we serve.

We only aspire to work with people who are excellent at what they do, and who raise the standard of everyone around them.

The Role:

Videographer & Video Editor

Department: CODED's AI Factory ·
Location: Kuwait City, on-site ·
Type: Full-time preferred, part-time considered for the right profile

The Videographer & Video Editor turns an approved script into a finished video that is ready to publish.

This role owns CODED's video content end to end: pre-production, the shoot, the edit, sound, graphics, captions, and delivery.
It is one role, not two. The person in it runs the camera, the audio, and the lights on set, then takes the same footage through to a published master.

Our content has a clear standard: premium, current, and unmistakably on-brand. The craft of this role is making video that performs on social without looking like template content, and knowing what would sink a video before the camera is switched on.

  • Shooting & On-Set Production
  • Brand Quality & Publishing Workflow
I. Shooting & On-Set Production (Core Domain)
  • Take an approved script and shoot brief and run pre-production: shot list, location, wardrobe, and permissions
  • Operate mirrorless and DSLR cameras with full manual control: exposure, lens choice, focus, and framing by intent
  • Record and monitor audio live on set. Levels are checked while filming, not discovered in post
  • Light classroom, office, and mixed or natural-light interiors with portable LED kits
  • Direct presenters, trainees, and staff on camera so they look and sound natural
  • Protect the brand on set: clean environments, correct dress, and awareness of cultural red flags before anything is recorded

Objective: every shoot comes back with footage and audio that is usable as captured.

  • Edit in Premiere Pro and/or DaVinci Resolve: rough cut, picture lock, multicam, colour correction, and grading
  • Select music that supports speech instead of burying it; layer SFX, cut to beat, duck under dialogue, and deliver at correct platform loudness
  • Apply social-level VFX cleanly: masking, tracking, speed ramps, transitions, and object removal
  • Deliver vertical-first: 9:16, safe zones respected, burned-in Arabic and English captions
  • Export to the correct spec for each platform

Objective: every cut is purposeful. No template edits, no meme overload, no excessive zooms.

III. Brand Quality & Publishing Workflow
  • Get brand review before the shoot and Brand + Marketing sign-off before anything is published
  • Make sure every piece lands the structure: a hook in the first 3 seconds, one clear CTA, 9:16, captioned
  • Work closely with Marketing (briefs and calendar),
    Brand (review and sign-off),
Programs and Academy (access to classes, trainees, and events), and Partnerships (client-facing shoots)

Objective: nothing goes out that the brand would not sign its name to.

  • Keep strict file discipline: naming, backup, and archive on every project
  • Build and maintain a b-roll and asset library the whole team can actually find and use
  • Track what is working on Reels and short-form this month, and adapt trends to a premium brand without turning them into meme content
  • Use AI tools where they genuinely help production: b-roll generation, upscaling, and voice-over cleanup

Objective: the team has the footage it…
