We are currently seeking a creative, technically sound, and detail-oriented Architect Engineer to join our Projects Department to lead architectural design, coordination, and site supervision for our upcoming developments.
Key Responsibilities- Design & Conceptualization: Lead the architectural design process from initial concept, schematic design, and design development through to detailed design and construction documentation. Prepare detailed 2D drawings, 3D models, renderings, and presentations to effectively communicate design concepts to clients, stakeholders, and management. Develop design solutions that are functional, aesthetically pleasing, sustainable, and cost‑effective.
- Technical Documentation & Coordination: Prepare comprehensive architectural construction drawings, specifications, and schedules in coordination with the estimation team for the Bill of Quantities (BOQ). Coordinate closely with Structural, MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing), and Infrastructure engineers to ensure a fully integrated and clash‑free design (utilizing BIM/Revit). Review and approve shop drawings, material submittals, and samples submitted by contractors and subcontractors.
- Regulatory Compliance & Approvals: Ensure all designs comply with local building codes, international standards, and sustainability guidelines. Prepare and submit architectural drawings to Kuwait Municipality and other relevant government authorities to obtain necessary building permits and approvals.
- Site Supervision & Quality Control: Conduct regular site visits to monitor construction progress and ensure the work is executed in strict accordance with the approved architectural drawings and specifications. Identify and resolve design‑related issues or discrepancies on‑site promptly. Participate in site inspections, snagging, and final handover processes.
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Architecture.
- Experience: Minimum of 5–8 years of proven experience in architectural design and project coordination within the construction/infrastructure sector in Kuwait or the GCC.
- Licensure: Must be eligible for membership/registration with the Kuwait Society of Engineers (KSE).
- Technical
Skills:
Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit (BIM), and 3D visualization software (e.g., 3ds Max, Sketch Up, Lumion, or Rhino). Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator) for presentations. - Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of architectural detailing, construction methodologies, and the Kuwait Municipality approval processes and local building regulations.
- Soft Skills: Strong creative vision combined with practical technical knowledge. Excellent problem‑solving, communication, and team coordination skills.
- Languages: Fluent in English (written and spoken). Proficiency in Arabic is highly preferred.
