Design Drafter

Established in Kuwait in 2020, the firm serves clients across the GCC and worldwide, focusing on complex and challenging projects of varied scales. The studio emphasizes green technologies and cost-effective, environmentally conscious lighting solutions.
Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Design Drafter role based in Kuwait City. The Design Drafter will prepare detailed technical and architectural drawings for lighting design projects, translating design concepts and specifications into accurate plans and documentation. Daily tasks include developing and updating CAD models, coordinating drawings with architects and engineers, and ensuring compliance with project standards and local regulations.

The role involves collaborating with the design team to refine layouts, documenting design changes, and supporting the preparation of construction and tender packages. The Design Drafter will also assist in maintaining drawing libraries and contribute to continuous improvement of drafting processes and templates.
Qualifications

• Strong skills in Technical Drawing and general Drawing for architectural and engineering applications.
• Proficiency in Engineering Drawings and Architectural Drawings, with the ability to interpret and produce detailed plans and sections.
• Hands-on experience with Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools, preferably AutoCAD or similar industry-standard software.
• Understanding of lighting design principles, building systems, and relevant codes or standards is highly beneficial.
• Diploma or degree in Architecture, Engineering, Drafting, or a related field.
• Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with multidisciplinary design teams.
• Prior experience in lighting, architectural, or interior design projects in the GCC region is an advantage.
