Librarian

Librarian - English-speaking (Indians preferred)

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Librarian to join our team in Al-Kuwait. As an English-speaking Librarian, you will be responsible for managing and organizing our library collection, assisting patrons with research and locating materials, and promoting literacy and love for reading within the community. This position is ideal for someone with a passion for books and knowledge, who is able to multitask and work well under pressure.

• Develop and maintain an efficient system for cataloging, shelving, and organizing library materials
• Assist patrons in locating resources, answering reference questions, and providing recommendations
• Manage circulation services, including checking out and returning materials
• Plan and facilitate educational programs to promote literacy and reading among patrons of all ages
• Stay updated on new books, resources, and technologies in the library field to enhance services offered
• Collaborate with other librarians to develop library policies, programs, and initiatives
• Maintain accurate records of library usage statistics for reporting purposes

• Bachelor's degree in Library Science or a related field
• Minimum of 2 years experience working in a library setting
• Fluent in English (spoken and written), Indian nationality preferred
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to multitask and work independently
• Familiarity with relevant software such as cataloging systems or databases

This position offers a competitive salary of 1700$ per month.

This job is located in Al-Kuwait. Candidates must have their own valid visa.
