The school is located on three campuses and offers an international education for students from pre‑school to Grade 12. 99% of students are local Kuwaiti nationals and from Grade1 the children are separated by gender. The school is fully accredited by CIS and the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools (MSA).
The School Counselor will demonstrate the ability to perform designated duties and work collaboratively with school administrators, students, parents, teachers, and staff. The successful candidate will demonstrate a commitment to working with young people in the areas of academic achievement, career development, personal/social development, and community involvement.
Eligibility- Passport holders from the USA / Canada / UK
- New graduates (newly qualified teachers) are welcome to apply
- Unqualified teachers are also welcome but the salary will be lower
- Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Social Work or School Counseling and/or recognized teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS,
B.Ed., or equivalent) preferable - Minimum 2‑3 years of teaching experience, preferably in international or bilingual schools, but less will be considered
- Strong proficiency in English (spoken and written)
- Experience with international curricula (American, British, IB, or Cambridge) is highly preferred
- Strong classroom management and student engagement skills
- Ability to use modern, student‑centered and inquiry‑based teaching methods
- Ability to deliver the American curriculum using engaging, student‑centered approaches
- Effective classroom management and lesson planning skills
- Commitment to fostering creativity, critical thinking, and student engagement
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build positive relationships with students and colleagues
- Adaptability and cultural awareness within a diverse, international environment
