Location:

Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh, Kuwait.

• Teaching up to 30 children with a variety of strengths and weaknesses in a self-contained classroom.
• Help the child develop and maintain an optimum level of health and well-being;
• To provide opportunities for the child to enhance his/her level of physical growth and development;
• To help the child develop effective body management, useful physical skills, and the transfer of these skills from one progression to thenext;
• To help the child understand the concepts relating to effective and efficient movement; to acquire the knowledge and skills necessary to maintain an active lifestyle;
• Develop positive personal and social development by promoting fair play, working together and tolerance of individual differences
• Provide opportunities for every child to develop a positive self-image.
• Preparing weekly lesson plans in a timely manner, submitting unit plans before each quarter and long term plans in March to the Principal.
• To undertake supervision duties as directed by the Principal.
• Maintaining professional competence through in-service education activities provided by the school as well as monthly school meetings and team meetings and in self-selected professional growth activities.
• Support other members of teaching team during short leaves of absence.
• Administer tests as per the academic program.
• Communicating with parents and school on pupil progress regularly.

• Create a well-disciplined School band.
• Plan and organize musical learning experiences through the development of daily and weekly lesson plans.
• Cooperate with classroom teachers to organize student concerts.
• Coordinate various events at school including National & Liberation Day celebrations.
• Implement teaching strategies that integrate the curriculum as well as address the needs of students.
• Identify the talents of other music teachers who can contribute to various concerts, events and activities.

• Participating in the mandatory after school extracurricular activity by providing band practice sessions to students.
• Identify students for after school activities to provide individual instrumental lessons.
• Teachers are also expected to participate in after school parental workshops and after school club activities as well as weekly school assemblies and all school events.

• Abiding by the weekly plans
• Implementing a high standard of classroom discipline, pupil manners and behavior both inside and outside the classroom and laboratory.
• Meeting the curriculum and developmental goals outlined for the year.

• Create a well-disciplined School band.
