ABOUT THE ROLE

Kuwait English School (KES) is seeking dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistants to support our classroom teachers across KG, Preparatory, and Secondary levels. As a TA at KES, you will be a valued member of our teaching team - supporting lesson delivery, working closely with students who need extra help, and helping to create a positive and inclusive classroom environment.

• Sick Leave 6 days full pay
• Bereavement Leave Up to 5 calendar days for immediate family
• Maternity Leave 40 calendar days paid from date of delivery
• Personal Leave 2 days per contract year
• Hajj Leave Up to 21 days at full pay (after minimum 5 years’ service)
• End-of-Service Gratuity Indemnity / End-of-Service payment as per Kuwait labor law (Approximately half month's wage per year)
• Contract Length 2 years (renewable)

• Support the class teacher in delivering lessons across KG, Preparatory, or Secondary levels as assigned
• Work with individual students or small groups to reinforce learning and provide targeted academic support
• Assist in preparing classroom materials, resources, and displays in line with the teacher's lesson plans
• Help maintain a positive, inclusive, and well-organised classroom environment that supports all learners
• Support students with special educational needs, providing differentiated assistance as directed by the class teacher or SENCO
• Monitor and report observations on student progress and behavior to the class teacher
• Assist with the supervision of students during lessons, breaks, assemblies, and school events
• Contribute to after-school activities and clubs where required
• Maintain confidentiality in all matters relating to students, staff, and school operations
• Attend staff meetings, professional development sessions, and training as required by the school
• Uphold and promote the values, ethos, and policies of Kuwait English School at all times
• Genuine passion for working with and supporting children of all ages and abilities
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills in English
• Native or near-native English speaker
• Patient, reliable, and able to take initiative in a classroom setting
• Flexible and adaptable to different year groups and subject areas
• Valid residency and work authorization in Kuwait
