Role Description

The Physics Teacher is a full-time, on-site role based in Doha, responsible for planning and delivering engaging Physics lessons aligned with the British International curriculum. Day-to-day tasks include preparing schemes of work, designing practical and theoretical learning activities, assessing student progress, and providing timely feedback to support academic development. The role involves maintaining a positive and inclusive classroom environment, differentiating instruction to meet diverse learning needs, and integrating appropriate use of laboratory equipment and technology.

The Physics Teacher will collaborate with colleagues across departments, participate in school events and professional development, contribute to curriculum improvement, and communicate regularly with parents and guardians about student progress.

Qualifications
  • Strong subject knowledge in Physics and related sciences, with the ability to teach across Key Stages in a British or British International curriculum.
  • Proficiency in lesson planning, classroom management, and assessment strategies that support varied learning styles and abilities.
  • Ability to create engaging, inquiry-based, and practical learning experiences using laboratory equipment and educational technology.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with colleagues, supporting students, and engaging with parents and guardians.
  • Recognized teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS, or equivalent) and a relevant degree in Physics or a closely related field.
  • Experience in international or multicultural school settings and commitment to inclusive, learner-centered education.
  • Demonstrated commitment to safeguarding, student well-being, and promoting school values that support global citizenship.
  • Willingness to participate in ongoing professional development and contribute to co-curricular or enrichment activities.
