Assistant Professor-Information Systems & Technology​/Computer Engineering

Leading private university in Kuwait is currently recruiting full-time faculty members as Assistant Professors for its IST or CE Department to start from Fall Semester 2026.

• A PhD Degree in Computer Science/Computer Engineering or a related major from an internationally accredited university is required.
• Excellent publication records, in particular during the last five years.
• Pursue academic achievements and have a demonstrable research capability.
• Publish his/her research findings in refereed journals.
• Have a solid commitment to teaching excellence and student advising at undergraduate level.
• Prepare teaching materials, maintaining and improving competence in subjects being taught.
• Have experience in RDBMS.
• Have experience in the fields of Immersive Technology is highly considered as an advantage.
• Have demonstrable skills in oral and written English.
• Having at least 2-3 years' work experience in a reputed university or company in a relevant department.
• Industry experience is a plus for this position.

Faculty members are engaged in teaching, services, research and professional development tasks.

Successful candidates are expected to:

• Significantly contribute to the advancement of the research activities and publish research findings in refereed journals.
• Have a strong commitment to teaching excellence and student advising at undergraduate level.
• Prepare teaching materials, maintain and improve competence in subjects being taught.
• Develop and deliver courses to students.
• Prepare class activities, quizzes, assessments and exams.
• Passionately support the college and departmental wide activities and services with a spirit of leadership, commitment, accountability, and collegiality.
• Evaluate, monitor and mentor student academic progress.
• Supervise and assist students in all aspects related to the courses.
• Guide, lead and mentor students in research projects.
• Engage actively in promoting the growth of the university and participate in strategic activities and events.
• Participate in departmental and college meetings and activities.
• Serve and support functional activities of departmental committees.
• Supervise and support TAs and lab instructors.
• Undertake any other duties as may be directed by the Head of Department.
