Indian Librarian in Kuwait

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Indian Librarian to join our team at a prestigious library in Al-Kuwait, Kuwait. With a focus on providing excellent customer service, the ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of library operations and procedures, along with exceptional organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the daily operations of the library, including circulation, cataloging, and shelving of materials
• Assist patrons with research and reference needs, utilizing various resources such as databases and online catalogs
• Develop and implement programs and services to engage the community and promote literacy
• Maintain accurate records of library holdings and patron accounts
• Train and supervise library staff to ensure efficient operation of services
• Stay updated on current trends in library science and technology to enhance services provided

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field
• Minimum of 2 years experience working in a library setting
• Fluent in English (spoken and written)
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to work well with diverse populations
• Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
• Knowledge of current library technologies including online databases, digital archives, etc.
• Preference for Indian nationality
