Librarian (Indian Nationals Only)

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Librarian to join our team in Al-Kuwait, Kuwait. As a Librarian, you will be responsible for managing the library's resources, assisting patrons with research and information needs, cataloguing materials, and maintaining an organized and welcoming library environment.

This is a full-time position with standard working hours.

• Manage the library's collection by ordering, cataloguing, and shelving books and other materials.
• Provide assistance to patrons with research and information needs.
• Create engaging displays and programs to promote library resources and services.
• Maintain an organized and welcoming environment for patrons.
• Train new staff members on library systems and procedures.
• Keep track of overdue materials and enforce library policies when necessary.
• Update the library's website with new resources and events.
• Collaborate with other librarians to plan and implement programs for all age groups.
• Stay current with trends in librarianship by attending workshops, conferences, or other professional development opportunities.

• Bachelor's degree in Library Science or a related field
• Previous experience working in a library setting preferred
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
• Excellent customer service skills
• Knowledge of cataloguing systems (e.g. Dewey Decimal Classification)
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
• Proficient in English (Arabic language skills are a plus)
• Must be an Indian national currently living in Kuwait
