Librarian Assistant

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our library team as a Librarian Assistant in Al-Kuwait. As a Librarian Assistant, you will be responsible for helping to manage the library's collection of books, magazines, and other materials. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with books and has a passion for organizing information.

• Assist with the organization and maintenance of the library's collection
• Help patrons locate materials and answer questions about the library's resources
• Process new materials, including cataloging, labeling, and shelving
• Keep track of overdue items and assist with sending out reminders to patrons
• Assist with planning and implementing library programs and events
• Maintain a clean and welcoming environment in the library
• Provide excellent customer service to all patrons

• Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field preferred
• Previous experience working in a library or similar setting is preferred
• Knowledge of library cataloging systems and procedures
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
• Proficiency in English is required; knowledge of Arabic is a plus

Salary: $1400 per month
