Librarian (English-Speaking)

Location:

Al-Kuwait, Kuwait.

This is a full-time position that offers competitive salary and benefits.

• Assist patrons with locating and accessing materials in the library, including books, reference materials, periodicals, and digital resources.
• Provide support for library programs and events, such as storytime sessions and book clubs.
• Maintain the organization and shelving of library materials to ensure easy access for patrons.
• Develop and maintain relationships with community organizations to promote library services.
• Assist with collection development by selecting new materials to add to the library's collection.
• Handle circulation transactions, including checking out materials to patrons and collecting fees for overdue items.
• Provide guidance and assistance to patrons in using computers and other technology resources available in the library.
• Create displays and exhibits to highlight various resources available in the library.

• Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field.
• Fluency in English is required; proficiency in other languages is a plus.
• Previous experience working as a Librarian preferred.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact with diverse groups of people.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Familiarity with library systems, databases, and technology tools.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
