Senior Instrumentation & Control Engineer

Location:

Kuwait. This role involves supervising, testing, and commissioning instrumentation and control systems for major water infrastructure projects, ensuring reliable automation, monitoring, and control across water distribution complexes and transmission networks.

• Supervise installation, testing, and commissioning of instrumentation and control systems.
• Review and approve contractor submittals (SCADA, PLCs, instrumentation layouts).
• Ensure compliance with specifications, standards, and approved designs.
• Witness FAT, SAT, and commissioning activities.
• Monitor contractor performance and identify risks or deviations.
• Provide input into construction methodologies and system integration.
• Support troubleshooting and resolution of technical issues on‑site.
• Review testing procedures, commissioning plans, and performance results.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams (mechanical, electrical, process).
• Maintain inspection records, reports, and documentation.
• Contribute to monthly progress reports and client submissions.
• Support knowledge transfer and training initiatives.
• Undertake additional responsibilities as required, in line with the evolving needs of the role and the business.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Instrumentation, Control, Electrical, or a related field.
• Minimum 15 years’ experience in I&C engineering within infrastructure/water projects.
• Strong experience with SCADA, PLCs, and field instrumentation.
• Proven experience in construction supervision and commissioning.
• Knowledge of international standards and best practices.
• Strong communication and coordination skills.
• Knowledge of industrial cybersecurity systems is desirable.
• Strong project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies.
