Responsibilities
Perform routine tasks including cleaning, inspection, and repair. Experience in tank repair, fiber glassing, painting, civil and mechanical works and inspection and corrosion activities related to tank overhaul preferably in refinery petro-chemical industry. Must have good knowledge in oil and gas storage tanks fabrication and maintenance including drawing skills. Conduct non-destructive testing (NDT) to inspect tank integrity and identify potential issues.
Troubleshoot problems with tank equipment and systems and implement solutions as needed. Collaborate with other teams to resolve complex technical issues related to tank operations. Ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulations during all aspects of tank maintenance.
- Possesses a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field; a strong foundation in engineering principles is essential.
- Demonstrates 5+ years of experience in tank maintenance within the oil and gas, petrochemical, or related industries.
- Exhibits a deep understanding of various tank types (e.g., above ground, underground, floating roof) and their respective maintenance requirements.
- Proficiency in using inspection tools and techniques, including ultrasonic testing (UT), radiographic testing (RT), and visual inspection.
- Demonstrates strong problem‑solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex tank‑related issues effectively.
- Possesses excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with cross‑functional teams.
- Demonstrates a commitment to safety and environmental compliance, with a strong understanding of relevant regulations and standards.
- Proficient in using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) for managing maintenance activities and tracking performance.
- Exhibits physical stamina and ability to work in various weather conditions and environments, including confined spaces.
