Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer specializing in MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) systems to join our dynamic engineering team in Kuwait City, Kuwait. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail‑oriented professional to contribute to innovative building services projects while collaborating with a supportive and goal‑oriented team. You will play a key role in designing, analyzing, and implementing MEP systems that meet the highest standards of efficiency, sustainability, and compliance with local regulations.
- Design and develop comprehensive MEP systems for commercial, residential, and industrial building projects, ensuring optimal performance and integration
- Conduct detailed calculations and analysis for HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems to meet project specifications and performance requirements
- Utilize AutoCAD, BIM software, and other advanced modeling tools to create precise technical drawings, 3D models, and system documentation
- Collaborate with architects, electrical engineers, and other stakeholders to coordinate MEP systems and resolve design conflicts through clash detection and analysis
- Prepare detailed project documentation, including specifications, reports, calculations, and technical drawings that comply with local building codes and regulations
- Ensure all designs adhere to Kuwait's building codes, safety standards, and environmental regulations while incorporating sustainable design principles
- Analyze and optimize HVAC systems for energy efficiency, considering Kuwait's climate conditions and cooling requirements
- Support project teams in the implementation of innovative solutions and emerging technologies in MEP engineering
- Conduct site inspections and coordinate with contractors to ensure proper installation and commissioning of MEP systems
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to continuous professional development within the team
- Maintain organized project files and documentation while managing multiple projects efficiently
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university
- Minimum 3-5 years of professional experience in MEP design and engineering for building projects
- Strong knowledge of MEP systems integration, HVAC design, plumbing systems, and electrical system coordination
- Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD and Building Information Modeling (BIM) software (Revit or similar platforms)
- Competent user of Microsoft Office Suite and project management tools
- In-depth understanding of Kuwait building codes, regulations, and local construction standards
- Proven experience with MEP coordination, clash detection, and system optimization
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex engineering challenges
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, in English;
Arabic language skills are advantageous - Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams and manage stakeholder relationships
- Knowledge of sustainable design principles and energy‑efficient solutions, particularly relevant to Middle Eastern climate conditions
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines efficiently
- Professional certification or licensure in Mechanical Engineering is preferred
- Experience with project management and mentoring junior team members is advantageous
